Bishnu P Pal is the Dean of Academics at MU. Prior to joining MU in July 2014, he was a Professor of Physics for over 24 years at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, during which he served as the Chairperson of the Physics Department (September 2008-December 2011) and Head of the Computer Services Centre (September 2003-August 2006). Bishnu P Pal re-joined MU in July 2018 as Professor of Physics after having been away from MU for 1 year during 2017-18 at Bennett University in Greater Noida as a Consulting Professor.

Prof. Pal has edited several books published by Elsevier/Academic Press, John Wiley, Intech, New Age, and Viva publishers. His current areas of research are Guided Wave Photonics and Optical Communication. OSA The Optical Society (USA), and IEEE Photonics Society (USA), respectively honoured him with global awards namely; Esther Hoffman Beller medal during the centennial year of OSA in 2016 and Distinguished Lectureship (DL) for 2005-07. He has many other awards and citations for significant contributions in the field of optical fiber communications. He has published and reported over 200 research papers and research reviews in peer reviewed international journals and conferences, delivered over 50 plenary/invited talks at international conferences in India and abroad, and has co-submitted a patent in India and one in the USA.

He has served as the President of the Optical Society of India (2012–2015), Associate Vice President of IEEE Photonics Society's Membership Council (2011-2015), and a member of the International Jury for the Galileo Galilei Prize of the International Commission of Optics (2010-2014).

Dr. Arya Kumar Bhattacharya is the Dean of Research and a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has been with the Institute since its inception in 2014. He has more than twenty years of industrial experience, including working for the Defence Research and Development Organization at the Aeoronautical Development Agency (ADA - Bangalore), Alstom Transport (UK) and at Tata Steel (Automation Division, Jamshedpur), in Research and Development roles at different levels. He has been AICTE-INAE approved Distinguished Visiting Professor at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.

Prof. Arya has filed for more than twenty patents and published more than thirty-five papers in Journals, International Conferences and resarch books. His essay in the book ‘Evolutionary Computation’ published by InTech has been downloaded more than 9000 times since 2010, according to the Publisher. His multi-disciplinary research interests cover Machine Learning, Evolutionary Algorithms, Game Theory, and Autonomous Systems applied to different domains like Aerospace, Manufacturing and Industry 4.0, Logistics, Transportation and others.

S. Ramakrishna (Rama) Velamuri is Professor and Dean of the School of Management, Mahindra University. He was previously Chengwei Ventures Professor of Entrepreneurship at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), on whose faculty he served for nearly 14 years (2007-2021). At CEIBS he discharged a number of administrative roles: Chair of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department, Chair of the Research Committee, Academic Director of the Global Executive MBA, and member of the Executive Committee of the Faculty. He has also been on the faculty of IESE Business School in Spain for four years (2003-2007) and has been a Visiting Professor at the Indian School of Business, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Bocconi University, and the International Anti-Corruption Academy Austria.

Dr. Velamuri has two main areas of research focus: i) the impact of entrepreneurs’ ethical behaviors on their ability to mobilize stakeholder support, and ii) the impact of innovations, in particular business model innovations, on firm growth. His research has been published in leading academic and practitioner journals, including several in the FT50, ABDC A* and A lists. His co-authored article titled “Seizing the Ethical High Ground: Ethical Reputation Building in Corrupt Environments”, published in the Journal of Management Studies (FT50) was shortlisted by the journal for the 2017 Best Paper Award, and another titled “Business Model Innovation Through Trial and Error Learning: The Naturhouse Case”, published in 2010 in Long Range Planning (ABDC A), is among the five most cited articles on the topic “business model innovation”. He has written for, has given interviews to and has been quoted in media outlets such as the Economist Intelligence Unit, Financial Times, Inc magazine (USA), PBS, LA Times, Seattle Times, SF Gate, Caixin, Global Times, China Daily, El Pais, La Vanguardia, Actualidad Economica, Business Today, Outlook Business, Times of India, Economic Times, Financial Express, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, and Business Line. He served on the 2019 and 2020 Advisory Councils of the CNBC Disruptor 50, to select the 50 most disruptive private companies in the world.
