1st International Conference on Innovative Teaching through Simulations in Business Education (ICITSBE 2026)

About conference

The First International Conference on Innovative Teaching through Simulations in Business Education (ICITSBE 2026) is organized by Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Mahindra University. As business management education increasingly shifts from theory-centric approaches to application-oriented learning, simulations have emerged as powerful tools to bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world decision-making.

ICITSBE 2026 aims to provide a vibrant platform for scholars, educators, researchers, industry experts, and practitioners to share insights, experiences, and best practices related to the design, adoption, and impact of simulations in business education. The conference encourages interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration to explore how simulations can enhance critical thinking, problem-solving, strategic decision-making, teamwork, and leadership skills among learners.

Through simulation experts’ presentations, pedagogical demonstrations, and interactive discussions, the conference seeks to foster innovation in curriculum design, assessment strategies, faculty development, and institutional transformation, ensuring that business education remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry needs.

Conference details

Conference objectives

  • To explore innovative teaching–learning practices using business simulations
  • To promote experiential and outcome-based learning in management education
  • To examine the impact of simulation-driven pedagogy on student learning and decision-making skills
  • To encourage collaboration between academia and industry for curriculum innovation
  • To facilitate faculty development and institutional adoption of simulation-based learning

“Chocolate simulation” workshop

As part of the conference programme, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a hands-on workshop titled “Chocolate Simulation” on 24 March 2026, conducted by Prof. Ernest Cadotte, Emeritus Professor of Innovative Learning at the University of Tennessee, USA, and the author of the Marketplace Simulation.
“Chocolate Simulation” is a beginner-friendly, mobile-enabled simulation designed to facilitate fast and accessible learning in large or introductory classes or shorter courses. The workshop will offer fresh insights and a deeper understanding of how simulation-based learning can enhance student engagement while simplifying the teaching process.
