Dr. Kumudham Balasubramanian is an Assistant Professor in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Mahindra University, specializing in French and Francophone literature, especially Swiss French literature, and French language teaching and pedagogy. She holds a Ph.D. (2019) in French and Francophone studies from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, with a thesis on money in the works of Swiss writer Charles‑Ferdinand Ramuz, and has published and presented on themes such as Paris in Francophone travel writing, women and money in Ramuz’s novels, and solidarity in Francophone diaspora literature, alongside extensive experience teaching French at Mahindra institutions and participating in international teacher‑training programs in France.

Kumudham Balasubramanian

Assistant Professor

Dr. Kumudham Balasubramanian is an Assistant Professor with Mahindra University in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in the field of French language and literature from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad.

Her research interests include French and Francophone literature, Swiss literature written in French, French language teaching, teaching and learning practices.

In particular it deals with the works (novels, play and essays) of 20th century Swiss writer Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz.
