Manish Gupta

Quick facts

Dr. Manish Gupta is an Associate Professor at Mahindra University’s School of Management whose work centres on HRM, OB, HR analytics, and especially employee work engagement in Indian organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in Management (IFHE) on antecedents and consequences of work engagement in Indian commercial banks, is UGC‑JRF/NET qualified, and has extensive teaching experience across UG–PhD levels plus prior industry stints. A prolific researcher, editor, and guest editor across ABDC‑listed journals, he has authored textbooks, HR analytics books, numerous articles on engagement, e‑HRM, gamification, and technology‑enabled workforce and knowledge management.

Manish Gupta

Associate Professor

Manish Gupta (Ph.D., UGC-JRF, MBA) is an Associate Professor at School of Management, Mahindra University. He has taught- at undergraduate, post graduate, and doctoral levels. His teaching areas include HRM, OB, HR analytics, and competency mapping. Apart from teaching, he also has industry experience.

His Ph.D. thesis is in the area of ‘work engagement’. His current research interests include engagement through gamification and agile HRM. Manish is a recipient of UGC-JRF and NET certificate. He is an Article Editor for Sage Open and Editorial Team Member of Journal of Global Information Management, Advances in Developing Human Resources, Cogent Business and Management, International Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Electronic Commerce in Organizations, and International Journal of Cyber Behavior, Psychology and Learning.

He has been a Guest Editor for several journals published by Emerald, Wiley, Sage, Elsevier, etc. ranging from ABDC-A* to C. He has won the Top Peer Reviewer 2019 award by Publons, USA (Web of Science), AIMS International Outstanding Young Management Researcher Award 2019, and ADHR best issue of 2018 award by AHRD, USA. His work has received media coverage in national and international magazines, newspapers, blogs and news channels. He has research papers, textbooks, reference books, book chapters, and teaching cases to his credit.

He has convened an international conference and has conducted multiple management development programs.
