My area of research is the history of education in India, encompassing the education of the masses, the education of marginalised and disadvantaged groups, girls’ and women’s education, educational movements, and institutional histories. I have explored the debates on the issue of compulsory and free elementary education in colonial India. I have undertaken an institutional history of Central Hindu College, the predecessor of Banaras Hindu University. Currently, I am working on a monograph based on my Ph.D. thesis.

His Ph.D. thesis is on Scalable and Efficient Concurrent Binary Search Trees (Month and Year: February 2020). In general, devising algorithms for concurrent data structures has been propelled by the need for scalability. Recently, there has been increased traction across the industry towards energy-efficient concurrent data structure designs. In order to construct efficient concurrent data structures and algorithms, they present scalable and energy-efficient concurrent implementations for binary search trees in our thesis. They propose two concurrent search tree implementations: Concurrent Binary Search Tree with Fatnodes (FatCBST) and Concurrent Treaps. They also studied the impact of locking objects in concurrent implementations.

His M.Tech thesis is on Framework for Specification Driven Application Compiler. It generates Java Programs for the typical specification file, written in Web Application Specification Language.
