Dr. Sri Kalyana Rama Jyosyula is an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering at Mahindra University, leading the Smart and Sustainable Materials Lab with research spanning low‑cost precast wall panels, ultra‑high‑performance and 3D‑printed concretes, and risk assessment and rehabilitation of concrete structures. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from BITS Pilani–Hyderabad, M.Tech and B.Tech from V R Siddhartha Engineering College, has guided numerous UG/PG/Ph.D. theses, led multiple sponsored projects on sustainable precast systems and UHPC, and is an active member of international bodies such as RILEM, with several awards including a Young Researcher Award (2022) and recognition as a BENTLEY Distinguished Educator and Construction Life Cycle Assessment Specialist.

Sri Kalyana Rama Jyosyula

Associate Professor

Dr. Sri Kalyana Rama Jyosyula is currently working as an Associate Professor, Smart and Sustainable Materials Lab, Department of Civil Engineering, Mahindra University. He completed his Ph.D. from BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus, M. Tech, and B. Tech from V R Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada. Prior to joining Mahindra University, he worked for BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus, V R Siddhartha Engineering College as Assistant Professor. He had also worked as a R&D Cell Coordinator and Associate Professor-Department of Civil Engineering, VBIT, Hyderabad. His research interests include Developing low-cost precast wall panels; Rheology of ultra-high-performance concrete and 3D printed concrete, and Risk assessment of Construction projects, Repair and Rehabilitation of concrete structures. He is a Young Member of The International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures (RILEM). He is also a Life Member of the Indian Concrete Institute, Indian Association of Bridge Engineers, and Society for Reliability and Safety (SRESA). He is a Level 1 certified Institute of Risk Management professional from UK and BENTLEY Distinguished Educator and is also a Construction Life Cycle Assessment Specialist from One Click LCA.

    • One of the M. Tech (CASE) students was shortlisted for Swachhta Saarthi Fellowship (SSF) Cohort 2022, by Waste to Wealth Mission, Principal Scientific Advisory, Government of India.
    • Couple of our M. Tech (CASE) students Swetha and Amrutha won the second prize in a National level Industrial Design Problem contest on “Concrete for Metro Design and Durability” organized by Jindal Steel, Tata Projects Limited, and Aakaar (IIT Bombay Event). For the presentation round, 12 teams were shortlisted among 100+ teams across the country of which 3 teams are from M. Tech (CASE), Mahindra University. The solutions to the problem statement presented by the 3 teams are part of our current research on Smart and Sustainable Materials
