Dr. Venkata Satyanand Mutnuri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Mahindra University, with a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IISc Bangalore. His research spans solid mechanics, nonlocal elasticity, wave motion in elastic solids, mechanics of slender structures, and autonomous navigation, with postdoctoral experience at Arizona State University and IIT Hyderabad and recent work on radar–camera calibration, eVTOL aeroacoustics, and autonomy datasets for Indian roads.

Venkata Satyanand Mutnuri

Assistant Professor

Venkata Satyanand Mutnuri is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Ecole Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Department of Aerospace Engineering, IISc Bangalore. Post Ph.D. he worked briefly as a postdoctoral research Scholar at the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy, Arizona State University, USA, and as a postdoctoral fellow/research associate at IIT Hyderabad.

His research interests include wave motion in elastic solids with applications towards structural, autonomous navigation technologies, and examining large deformations in slender structures. He is interested in:-

  • understanding the physics of mechanical behavior of matter and to translate it into systems
  • design and development of unmanned air vehicles – upset recoveries
