Dr. Pranjal Chandrakar is an Assistant Professor of data science at Mahindra University School of Management, having completed his Ph.D. in Decision Sciences at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a B.Tech. in Biological Sciences and Bio‑engineering from IIT Kanpur. Before his Ph.D., he worked as a Research Associate (Systems Engineer) at the Computational Life Sciences Laboratory, TCS Innovation Labs. He has published in several peer‑reviewed journals and is co‑inventor on a European‑granted patent related to identifying key driver organisms in microbiome/metagenomics studies. His research and teaching interests include data science, statistics, machine learning, and sports analytics.

Pranjal Chandrakar

Assistant Professor

Dr. Pranjal Chandrakar is a faculty of data science at MUSOM. He completed his Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Before his Ph.D., he worked as a research associate in the Computational Life Sciences Laboratory at TCS Innovation Labs. Dr. Chandrakar has published in many peer-reviewed journals and holds a patent granted by the European Union. His research and teaching interests are in data science, statistics, machine learning and sports analytics.
