Sonam Sahu

Dr. Sonam Sahu is an Assistant Professor at Mahindra University and a Climate Action Planner with around 10 years’ experience in urban climate policy and greenhouse gas emissions assessment. She holds a Ph.D. in Global Environmental Studies from Kyoto University and has worked with institutions worldwide on city‑level climate targets, GHG inventories (Scopes 1–3), and climate action planning.

Sonam Sahu

Assistant Professor

Sonam is a Climate Action Planner with 10 years of experience in urban climate policy analysis and technical expertise in estimating emissions. During her Ph.D., she researched on localizing the Paris Agreement and designed a multi-criteria scoring tool to support city-level climate targets. She has vast experience in developing Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions inventory, and developing emissions targets and intervention actions.
