Dr. Ravi K. Bompelly is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at École Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University, specializing in combustion, propulsion, clean energy, and fluid mechanics, with about five years of advanced gas‑turbine design experience for the power and aviation industry. He holds a Dual Degree (B.Tech–M.Tech) in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining Mahindra University in 2018, he worked as a Combustion Engineer at TAO Sustainable Power Solutions (USA) and Lead Engineer at GE Aviation (India), and has published extensively on lean blowout sensing, vortex breakdown, and turbine combustor stability, supported by funded projects from NASA and India’s Aeronautics Research and Development Board.
