Abhivyakti Panwar is an Assistant Professor at the School of Design Innovation, Mahindra University. A Strategic Creative Director with 10+ years of leadership in brand strategy, visual merchandising, retail marketing, and multimedia production, she has led creative functions at Livspace, Myntra Jabong, IKEA, and Future Group across India, Singapore, and Portugal. She holds a B.Des in Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory Design from NIFT, New Delhi.

Abhivyakti Panwar

Assistant Professor

Abhivyakti Panwar is a Strategic Creative Director and educator with over a decade of progressive leadership experience in conceptualising, developing, and executing integrated campaigns across multiple channels for national and international brands. She brings a rare combination of creative vision and operational expertise, having led multidisciplinary teams across graphic design, 3D art direction, Interior styling, and video production at some of India’s most recognised brands.
Her industry journey spans Senior Manager of Creative Direction at Livspace (India and Singapore), Associate Creative Stylist at Myntra Jabong, Communication and Design Specialist at IKEA (Portugal and India), and Regional Visual Merchandiser at Future Group. Across these roles she has spearheaded brand amplification campaigns, launched retail sub-brands, directed large-scale visual merchandising strategies across hundreds of stores, and driven measurable business impact through data-informed creative decisions.
She holds a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi. A recipient of the Livspace Founder’s Award for leading the landmark brand campaign featuring Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.

Abhivyakti’s research interests lie at the intersection of brand identity, experiential design, and retail environments. She is particularly interested in how visual communication and spatial design shape consumer behaviour, brand perception, and immersive in-store experiences. Her practice-led research draws on extensive industry work in visual merchandising across large-format retail (IKEA, Future Group, Livspace), multi-brand campaign management, and 3D art direction. She is also interested in design pedagogy and preparing students for industry through project-based, real-world design challenges.
