Dr. Vandana Sharma specializes in French language teaching, intercultural communication, and Francophone studies. She serves as a mentor for the French club “Soirée française” at Mahindra University and teaches courses in French language and culture across multiple levels. Alongside her academic work, she is a certified DELF examiner and trained Alliance Française instructor with extensive experience in curriculum delivery and student mentoring. Her research publications focus on intercultural competence in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) classrooms and the role of Francophonie in language education.

Vandana Sharma

Assistant Professor

Dr. Vandana Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Mahindra University, Hyderabad. She completed her PhD in French Language Teaching from the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, in 2019. With over twenty-four years of teaching experience, she has taught French language and culture at several reputed institutions across India, including the University of Delhi, Guru Gobind Indraprastha University, Nizam College, Telangana Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, and VIT. She has also worked in France as an “Assistante d’Anglais,” gaining international exposure to European cultures and educational practices. Dr. Sharma is a trained examiner for DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) under Alliance Française of India and has presented papers at various national and international conferences. Her academic interests include intercultural competence, French and Francophone culture, language pedagogy, and evaluation in French language learning.
