Dr. Chandan Maheshwari specializes in constitutional and administrative law and torts, though he engages with all branches of law. Before joining Mahindra University, he had served as an Assistant Professor at three reputed institutions, as a Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant at the Supreme Court of India, and as a Senior Research Fellow at National Law University Delhi. He is also a trained mediator and certified psychological counsellor. Outside law, he pursues cinema, music, and psychology.

Chandan Maheshwari
Assistant Professor
Dr. Chandan Maheshwari is Assistant Professor of Law at Mahindra University, Hyderabad. He specializes in constitutional and administrative law and torts and works across other branches of law.
Before joining Mahindra University, he taught as Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Pune; Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Navi Mumbai; and Manipal University, Jaipur. Earlier in his career, he worked as Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant to Hon’ble Mr Justice Uday U. Lalit at the Supreme Court of India and served as a UGC Senior Research Fellow at National Law University Delhi.
He holds a Ph.D. from National Law University Delhi, with a thesis on the constitutional dimensions of state liability in torts. He also holds an LL.M. in Constitutional Law from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law-Punjab, Patiala, and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons) from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.
He is a trained mediator and certified psychological counsellor. Outside law, his interests include cinema, music, reading on psychology, hiking and trekking.
