Rakesh Prasad Badoni

Associate Professor

Dr. Rakesh Badoni is an Associate Professor at Mahindra University. He completed his Ph.D. in theoretical computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2016. Before this, he completed his M.Tech. degree in computer science and data processing from the same department and M.Sc. in applied mathematics from H.N.B. Garhwal University, Uttarakhand. Before joining Mahindra University, Dr. Badoni worked as an Assistant Professor at XIM University (formerly Xavier University Bhubaneswar), India, and B.M.L. Munjal University, Gurugram, India, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He has also qualified CSIR National Eligibility Test (NET-JRF)−2009 with AIR 111 and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)−2009 with AIR 57, both in Mathematical Sciences. He has received several awards and honors, such as Senior Research Fellowship, Junior Research Fellowship, and M.H.R.D. fellowship for M.Tech. course all in IIT Kharagpur, India. Dr. Badoni’s research interests include Combinatorial Optimization, Optimization, Heuristics and Metaheuristics, Operations Research – Scheduling and Timetabling in Industry and Education.
