Gunjan Sharma

Assistant Professor

Dr. Gunjan Sharma is an accomplished academician, media professional, and researcher with extensive experience in teaching, media production, and research. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at School of digital media and communication, Mahindra University. Dr. Sharma specializes in documentary filmmaking, video editing, data journalism, and PCR operations. Dr Sharma has made significant contributions to television and digital media, having worked as a Senior Producer at Riverbank Studios, where he led the production of the acclaimed wildlife series Earth Matters. Additionally, he has collaborated with organizations like UNDP, BBC, and Prasar Bharati on documentary and corporate film projects.

His research focuses on Eco Cinema and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), leading to multiple publications in esteemed journals and conferences. He has presented her work at prestigious global forums such as IAMCR, ICA, and IIM, advocating for environmental conservation through media. Dr Sharma holds a Ph.D from GD Goenka University and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Passionate about community engagement through media, Dr Sharma continues to explore the intersection of cinema, advocacy, and environmental sustainability while mentoring the next generation of media professionals.
