Mahima Tripathi

Dr. Mahima Tripathi is an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, Mahindra University, Hyderabad. She holds a Ph.D. from the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL), IIT Kharagpur, with her doctoral research focusing on the legal framework for innovation and technology transfer of environmentally sound technologies in BRICS countries with particular reference to the electric mobility sector. She holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Rights from the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal.

Prior to joining Mahindra University, Dr. Tripathi served as an Assistant Professor at IILM University, Gurugram, where she was actively involved in teaching, student mentorship, academic administration, admissions and outreach, quality assurance, and institutional accreditation-related activities. Her teaching and academic interests include Company Law, Contract Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Copyright Law, Cyber Law, Banking Law, and emerging technology law.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of Intellectual Property Rights, Environmental Law, Competition Law, Technology Transfer, Electric Vehicles, Green Technologies, and Climate Justice. She has published research articles in Scopus-indexed journals and contributed chapters to edited volumes published by reputed international publishers. Her research particularly examines legal and regulatory frameworks governing innovation, sustainable technologies, and intellectual property in emerging economies.

Her research focuses on examining legal and regulatory frameworks governing technological innovation, intellectual property protection, and the transfer and diffusion of environmentally sustainable and emerging technologies. Her work particularly explores the interface between IPR, technology, sustainability, competition, and innovation policy, with a focus on developing effective legal frameworks for emerging technologies and the transition towards sustainable and technology-driven economies.
