Mary Chacko

Mary Chacko is a French language educator and researcher with over three years of teaching experience across university, school, institute, and online settings. She has taught learners at different levels and has experience in DELF, DALF, and TEF examination preparation, communicative language teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and the integration of digital and audio-visual resources into language instruction.
She has completed a Ph.D. in French Language & Literature at The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. Her doctoral research, titled “Représentations du genre et de la sexualité dans les récits « queer » francophones : une étude narratologique,” applies unnatural narratology to queer narratives in Francophone literature, with a focus on the Maghreb and Quebec. She holds an M.A. in French from EFLU, where she secured the highest grade in all subjects across all semesters and ranked first in the department. Her academic work includes a peer-reviewed publication and presentations at national and international conferences, including the Australian Society for French Studies conference at the University of Melbourne.
