Quick facts

Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at École Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University. He completed his M.Tech. and Ph.D. from IIT Bombay and B.E. from VRCE (now VNIT) Nagpur; and worked at IIT Guwahati and NIT Calicut prior to joining Mahindra University. He specializes in explaining complex concepts in simple language, without losing the mathematical rigor. Areas of interest: Algorithms, Graph Theory and Theoretical Computer Science in general.

Sudeep K S

Professor

Dr. Sudeep is a Teacher/researcher with an overall experience of over 21 years. He did his BE in Computer Science from VRCE (now VNIT) Nagpur, and M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay. Dr. Sudeep was a post-doc fellow at Chennai Mathematical Institute, Chennai, India for a brief duration in the year 2006 and later worked as a Senior Lecturer at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India for about one year (2006-2007) and as an Assistant Professor at National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala, India for 11 years (2010-2021). He later joined GITAM University as an Associate Professor, where he held leadership positions like HOD (2023), NBA coordinator (2024-25) and Board of Studies (CSE) co-chair (2025-26). He worked in the EDA industry for about four and a half years: as a Software Engineer at SAS (now SASKEN) Bangalore (1999-2000), of which three months were at a client site in Nagano, Japan; and as a Member of Consulting Staff at Cadence Design Systems (India), Noida in their IC Design (timing) India team for three years (2007-2010). His research interests include Graph Theory, Combinatorial Optimization, Automata Theory, Algorithms, AR-VR and Machine Learning.
