General management
General Management Programme
Overview
Many managers build early career success through deep functional specialisation. As they advance, however, they must transition from functional expertise to a broader leadership role that requires a business-wide perspective.
The general management programme (GMP) is designed to accelerate this transition by equipping managers with the strategic, cross-functional and leadership capabilities needed for senior roles.
Through a blend of academic insights, practical applications and immersive learning, the programme helps participants think strategically and make effective decisions in complex business environments. A key component is an interactive business simulation, where participants experience the challenges of running an organisation and refine strategies in a dynamic, risk-free setting.
By integrating core business disciplines, including strategy, finance, marketing, operations and leadership, the programme provides a holistic understanding of how organisations operate, enabling participants to lead effectively and drive sustainable growth.
