Dr. Gayathri Janapati is an Assistant Professor at the School of Management, Mahindra University, with a Ph.D. in Positive Organisational Behaviour from IIT Madras and an Integrated M.Sc. in Health Psychology from the University of Hyderabad. Her work sits at the intersection of positive psychology and organisational behaviour, focusing on character strengths interventions for stress management, resilience, and innovative work behaviour, and she now aims to extend this into team cognition and team development. She won the “My Ph.D. in 180 Seconds” (English) competition by Resilio and has 2023–24 publications in Acta Psychologica, International Journal of Organizational Analysis, Academy of Management Proceedings and Youth Voice Journal on resilient pedagogy, pre‑service teachers, character strengths, and adolescent wellbeing.

Gayathri Janapati

Assistant Professor

Prof. Gayathri is a Ph.D. graduate from the Department of Management Studies at IIT Madras. Her Ph.D. research lies at the intersection of positive psychology and organisational behaviour. Inspired by the philosophy, “prevention is better than cure,” it focuses on character strengths intervention to help manage stress and improve one’s resilience.

As she expands her research interests, she plans to integrate team dynamics research, specifically focusing on team cognition and team development. She has recently been awarded the winner of the “My Ph.D. in the 180 Seconds” competition (English segment) by the Resilio -International Association for the Promotion and Dissemination of Resilience Research.
