Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our campus network infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and performance of enterprise network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Aruba Mobility Controllers and centralized WLAN infrastructure
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot ~3000 Aruba Access Points across campus
- Administer Aruba ClearPass for authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement
- Integrate and manage authentication with Active Directory (LDAP, RADIUS, 802.1X)
- Implement and maintain secure Wi-Fi networks (Employee, Guest, Management SSIDs)
- Troubleshoot wireless issues such as roaming, interference, coverage, and client connectivity
- Monitor network performance using Aruba AirWave/Central (or equivalent tools)
- Apply firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration backups
- Coordinate with IT teams for network security, VLANs, and firewall policies
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Aruba Controllers, ClearPass, and large-scale Wi-Fi deployments
- Good understanding of AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) and NAC
- Experience with VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and routing basics
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in campus or university network environments
- Knowledge of RF planning and wireless site surveys
Basic understanding of firewall (Palo Alto or similar) integration
