Dr. Gopinath G R specializes in sensorless motor drive control and DSP-based Kalman filtering techniques for electric drive applications. Gopinath G R
Associate Professor
Dr. Gopinath G R is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the École Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University. He earned his PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2018. His research expertise lies in sensorless electric drives, advanced Kalman filter implementations, control of power electronic converters, renewable energy integration, and autonomous underwater vehicles. At Mahindra University, he teaches courses in electrical engineering, control systems, electronics, and electric vehicle technologies. His work focuses on advanced estimation and control techniques for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drives, with several publications in reputed IEEE and IET conferences and journals. He has also contributed actively to academic administration and conference organization at the university.
