Summary
Runs the day-to-day operations of the Centre and delivers its events and programmes, including mentor engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Centre: facilities, space allocation, housekeeping, security and service vendors.
- Plan and execute events, bootcamps, demo days, competitions and visits, including logistics, speakers, registrations and participant management.
- Support the planning and delivery of incubation, pre-incubation and training programmes, including scheduling, resource persons and programme material.
- Own the upkeep of the physical infrastructure: repairs, maintenance, electrical, plumbing, civil and furniture work, and the annual maintenance contracts for building services and office equipment.
- Build and manage the mentor and expert panel, and coordinate mentor allocation and mentoring sessions for startups as directed by the CEO.
- Coordinate the IT needs of the Centre – systems, network, peripherals, software, access and support – with the IT team of Mahindra University and with vendors.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, local transport and hospitality for visiting guests, experts, mentors, delegations and dignitaries.
- Raise procurement requirements with technical specifications, evaluate offers on technical merit and certify the receipt of goods and services, for processing by the accounts and administration function.
- Maintain operational and programme records, trackers and documentation required for internal review and agency reporting.
- Support the documentation and record-keeping work of the Centre.
- Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the CEO.
QUALIFICATION
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Desirable: Master’s degree in Management or a related area.
EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years of professional work experience.
- Desirable: 2 or more years of experience in an incubator, startup, university innovation centre or ecosystem organisation will be an advantage.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Strong operational discipline and the ability to run several activities in parallel without supervision.
- Event and programme execution ability, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Documentation and record-keeping discipline, with demonstrated ability to maintain audit-ready files and meet reporting deadlines.
- Ability to work with mentors, founders, faculty, vendors and visitors.
- Clear written and spoken English for reports, records and correspondence.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, trackers, documents, dashboards and presentation tools.
- Willingness to do hands-on operational work alongside the team.
