About the Role:

The Center Manager will play a pivotal role in the operational, and administrative management of the center, ensuring effective coordination across research projects, faculty teams, industry collaborations, funding agencies, and institutional stakeholders.

The position requires a highly motivated professional with strong organizational, communication, project management, and coordination skills, capable of working in a dynamic interdisciplinary research environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of MU–VT IARCT².
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between Mahindra University and Virginia Tech teams.
  • Support planning, execution, and monitoring of interdisciplinary research projects and center initiatives.
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, review meetings, and progress tracking.
  • Coordinate proposal submissions, sponsored research activities, and funding opportunities.
  • Support organization of workshops, conferences, seminars, industry interactions, and outreach activities.
  • Maintain records related to projects, publications, patents, collaborations, and center achievements.
  • Develop and manage digital communication materials including newsletters, reports, website updates, and promotional content.
  • Assist leadership in strategic planning, partnerships, and institutional engagement activities.
  • Coordinate with faculty, research scholars, administrative offices, and external agencies for smooth functioning of the center.
  • Support development of national and international collaborations with academic, industry, and governmental organizations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology Management, Management, Public Policy, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of research ecosystems, interdisciplinary projects, and academic institutions.
  • Experience in project coordination, research administration, innovation management, or center operations will be preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, digital communication, and project management tools.
  • Experience in handling sponsored research projects, grants, accreditation, or institutional collaborations is desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Interest in innovation ecosystems, emerging technologies, and research-driven institutional development.
  • Exposure to international collaborations and academic-industry partnerships will be an added advantage.
