Dr. Abinash Pujahari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Mahindra University École Centrale School of Engineering. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Raipur, India, in 2021.

His current research interests include recommender systems, information retrieval, and application areas of machine learning and deep learning. He has published several papers in Q1 SCI journals as the leading author, including IEEE Transactions, with high impact factors. He has given several invited talks at many FDPs across India. Prior to joining MU, he worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at SRM University-AP.

My area of research is the history of education in India, encompassing the education of the masses, the education of marginalised and disadvantaged groups, girls’ and women’s education, educational movements, and institutional histories. I have explored the debates on the issue of compulsory and free elementary education in colonial India. I have undertaken an institutional history of Central Hindu College, the predecessor of Banaras Hindu University. Currently, I am working on a monograph based on my Ph.D. thesis.

Dr. Praveen Kumar Alapati is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ecole Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University. He got the Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the prestigious institution IIT Madras in the area of High-Performance Computing. His research interests include High-Performance Computing ( Heterogeneous Computing), GPU Architectures, and Multicore Architectures.
He is associated with the Supercomputing Lab of Mahindra University. Also, He has been working with the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) of India since 2021. His Ph.D. thesis is on Scalable and Efficient Concurrent Binary Search Trees (Month and Year: February 2020). In general, devising algorithms for concurrent data structures has been propelled by the need for scalability. Recently, there has been increased traction across the industry towards energy-efficient concurrent data structure designs. In order to construct efficient concurrent data structures and algorithms, they present scalable and energy-efficient concurrent implementations for binary search trees in our thesis. They propose two concurrent search tree implementations: Concurrent Binary Search Tree with Fatnodes (FatCBST) and Concurrent Treaps. They also studied the impact of locking objects in concurrent implementations.

His M.Tech thesis is on Framework for Specification Driven Application Compiler. It generates Java Programs for the typical specification file, written in Web Application Specification Language.

She is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at School of Education in Mahindra University, Hyderabad. Grounded in the discipline of psychology (with a PhD in Psychology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi) and trained in the area of education, she brings in her understanding of being and self into understanding curriculum and pedagogy. Her previous engagements have centered around designing and implementing educational plans for children and adolescents with special needs, as well as designing bridge curriculum for children rehabilitated from the streets. Her involvement with the Department of Education for Groups with Special Needs at NCERT, New Delhi, to create a handbook for teachers to guide with a reading series for all was an extension of this effort to integrate theory and practice. As part of her doctoral research work she has expanded her knowledge horizons to explore the lived experiences of women and how psychological resilience as a developmental process enriches their selfhood.

Her research areas include psychological resilience, gender and development, ageing, and cultural psychology. She is also keen on working with advanced qualitative research methodologies like phenomenological psychology to understand the spatiality, temporality and corporeality of everyday lived experiences.

Prafulla Kalapatapu, Faculty member in Department of Computer Science, at Mahindra University, École Centrale School of Engineering, institute is in collaboration involving the Mahindra Group and École Central Paris (now CentraleSupélec).

Prof Prafulla is an astute professional with zeal to excel in all spheres of Teaching and research-oriented assignments. Over 20 years of teaching experience at leading Indian academic institutions like BITS, Pilani, Hyderabad, especially worked in diverse areas such as Object Oriented Technologies, Machine Learning extending into Deep Learning, Data Mining, Information retrieval, Compiler Constructions and Programming languages. Guided and delivered many research-oriented projects in undergraduate and post graduate level in the areas of Music Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, E-Business and Structural Health Monitoring.

At Mahindra University, along with one of the Civil Engineering faculty colleague, founded and started Center of Excellence, “Center for Sustainable Infrastructure and Systems (CSIS)”, an interdisciplinary research center with the blend of Computer Science and Civil Engineering. Center works primarily in the area of Machine Learning and Data Analytics for Civil Engineering applications, especially in Heritage Structures and structural health monitoring. Our team has published over 20 articles on how machine learning algorithms like CNNs, RNNs, GANs can be utilized in estimating the structural health of a construction using images and other sensor data, which is imperative in replacing destructive testing techniques with non-destructive ones. Co-chaired for NIKETH-2018- Housing Chronicles of India.

Prof Prafulla is in collaboration with Professor’s from University of Austin, Texas and University of Florida dealing with research projects. Chaired IEEE and ACM Technically sponsored series of International Conference on Machine Learning and Data Sciences (ICMLDS) for two consecutive years and also served as Organizational Chair for IEEE Technically Co-sponsored International Conference on Emerging Trends in Computational Intelligence (ICETCI). Dr. Omprasad is a historian of science and education. His PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University was on the trade union movement of scientists represented by the Association of Scientific Workers of India. His MPhil research was in the history of education and examined the beginnings of mining engineering education in colonial India. After his PhD he worked as a Post-Doc Fellow in a research project investigating the triangular relationship between State, Science and Civil Society in India from the 1970s-2010. He is currently co-editing a volume on Educational and Scientific Imaginaries in India. His research interests include social movements of science and scientists, dynamics of science society relationship, history of knowledge and the changing nature of the university.
