Her research interests lie at the intersection of IPR and emerging technological developments, particularly artificial intelligence. She is interested in exploring how AI disrupts and reshapes traditional IPR frameworks, especially in relation to authorship, inventorship, and ownership. Her work engages with the evolving jurisprudence surrounding AI-generated outputs, critically examining whether existing legal doctrines can adequately address non-human creativity or require conceptual reform. She is also drawn to the philosophical foundations of IPR in the context of AI. This includes interrogating core concepts such as creativity, originality, and human agency, and assessing how they are being redefined by increasingly autonomous technologies. She aims to engage with broader theoretical perspectives, including post-humanist approaches, to evaluate whether the anthropocentric basis of IPR remains sustainable. Additionally, her research focuses on personality rights in digital environments. Further, Latika examines how AI-driven technologies such as deepfakes, virtual identities, and behavioral profiling complicate issues of identity, autonomy, and commercial exploitation of personal attributes.
