Mahindra University invites applications for the position of Web Developer, seeking candidates with strong expertise in WordPress development, custom themes and plugins, front-end technologies, API integrations, and website optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites.
  • Build custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks.
  • Develop responsive interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/SASS, JavaScript(ES6+), and jQuery.
  • Integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
  • Manage PHP/MySQL-based functionalities.
  • Optimize website performance, security, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support website deployments.

Required Skills

WordPress, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/SASS, JavaScript(ES6+), jQuery, ACF, WooCommerce, REST APIs, Git/GitHub, npm, and Webpack.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant WordPress, PHP, or Front-End Development certifications will be an added advantage.

      We’re Hiring | Industrial Design Studio – Design Studio Manager (2 Positions)

      We’re seeking 2 full-time Design Studio Managers (Industrial Design) to support and manage studio and workshop activities across the School of Design Innovation.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Design Studio Managers will facilitate fabrication, prototyping, model-making, vendor identification & management, materials procurement, project management, studio management, and associated studio-based activities across studios and workshops. The managers will facilitate students, faculty, researchers, and clients in turning ideas into physical and digital prototypes, from early mock-ups to functional models.

      Preferred Qualifications & Skills

      • B.Tech. Degree & Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in fabrication, prototyping, or related workshop/makerspace environments
      • CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, AutoCAD)
      • Prior experience in design schools, makerspaces, or innovation labs
      • Safety/fabrication certifications

                About the Role:

                The Center Manager will play a pivotal role in the operational, and administrative management of the center, ensuring effective coordination across research projects, faculty teams, industry collaborations, funding agencies, and institutional stakeholders.

                The position requires a highly motivated professional with strong organizational, communication, project management, and coordination skills, capable of working in a dynamic interdisciplinary research environment.

                Key Responsibilities:

                • Coordinate day-to-day operations of MU–VT IARCT².
                • Facilitate communication and collaboration between Mahindra University and Virginia Tech teams.
                • Support planning, execution, and monitoring of interdisciplinary research projects and center initiatives.
                • Manage project documentation, reporting, review meetings, and progress tracking.
                • Coordinate proposal submissions, sponsored research activities, and funding opportunities.
                • Support organization of workshops, conferences, seminars, industry interactions, and outreach activities.
                • Maintain records related to projects, publications, patents, collaborations, and center achievements.
                • Develop and manage digital communication materials including newsletters, reports, website updates, and promotional content.
                • Assist leadership in strategic planning, partnerships, and institutional engagement activities.

                  Job Summary

                  We are looking for a Lab Technician to support the Embedded Systems Laboratory. The role includes assisting in lab sessions, maintaining embedded hardware/software, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting students and faculty in experiments and projects.

                  Qualification

                  • Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in ECE / Embedded Systems / Instrumentation
                  • M.Tech or certification in IoT / Robotics (preferred)

                  Experience

                  • 1–3 years in embedded systems / electronics labs
                  • Experience in hardware troubleshooting and lab support
                  • Experience in academic or R&D labs (preferred)

                  Technical Skills

                  • Microcontrollers: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, STM32, ARM Cortex
                  • Programming: Embedded C, basic Python
                  • Electronics: circuit debugging, PCB soldering, sensor interfacing
                  • Basic lab instruments and power supplies
