Academic structure

  • Credit structure:
    Basic sciences (47 credits), basic engineering (28 credits), humanities, social & creative sciences (15 credits), enterprise sciences (10 credits).
  • Departments offer core and elective courses, labs, projects, and workshops. For example, in computer science engineering (CSE), there are ~11 departmental core courses (40 credits), plus ~5 electives (≈15 credits) covering areas like network computing, embedded systems, graphics & interfaces, information security, data mining, and machine learning.
  • Total course duration: 4 years / 8 semesters
  • Core vs professional phases: The first two years constitute the “Core Program,” and the last two years the “Professional Program,” with electives introduced in the latter phase.
