Essential Qualifications | – M.Tech./M.E. in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, or related fields – OR M.Sc./M.Plan. in Geography, Urban Studies, Environmental Science with geospatial/data science background – OR B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering/Geoinformatics with strong academic record – GATE/NET qualification (mandatory) |
Desirable Qualifications & Skills | – Proficiency in GIS and spatial analytics (QGIS/ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine) – Experience with census/demographic data analysis, urban infrastructure planning – Familiarity with machine learning or predictive modeling using Python/R – Exposure to web-mapping tools and public dashboard design – Prior work in solid waste or sanitation-related projects preferred – Strong interest in interdisciplinary and community-centered research |
Job Responsibilities | – Conduct spatial data collection and analysis of waste generation/demographic indicators – Design and evaluate smart bin deployment strategy based on predictive analytics – Collaborate on development of a public reporting interface for municipal users – Assist in scientific writing, reporting, and conference presentations – Fieldwork and urban stakeholder interviews as needed – Option for PhD enrollment upon eligibility and performance |
Emoluments | Year 1 & 2: ₹37,000/month + HRA (as per norms, if hostel not provided) Year 3: ₹42,000/month |

Desirable Qualifications & Skills | – Knowledge of routing algorithms, logistics optimization, or vehicle scheduling – Programming in Python, R, or MATLAB for optimization problems – Exposure to IoT-enabled data handling or smart city technologies – Familiarity with real-time dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or custom web apps) – Experience with transportation simulation or waste management systems preferred |
Job Responsibilities | – Collect and process waste collection data from smart bin networks and municipal bodies – Develop and test real-time route optimization algorithms – Assist in dashboard interface development and monitoring setup – Support in field validation, stakeholder interaction, and performance evaluation – Assist in scientific writing, reporting, and conference presentations – Option for PhD enrollment upon eligibility and performance |
