Dr. Abhishek Sinha is a passionate management educator and finance practitioner with over two decades of experience across equity research, financial consulting, and management and entrepreneurial education. Currently serving as Assistant Professor at Mahindra University, Hyderabad, he is an Entrepreneurial Finance evangelist, helping bridge the gap between theory and real-world finance. His research, case studies, and book chapters on different aspects of entrepreneurship – IPO exit valuation, startup finance, and sustainability have been published in Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals. He has also contributed to popular media by simplifying concepts on moneycontrol.com. A certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM, GARP – US) and PhD in Finance from UPES, Dehradun, Dr. Sinha continues to nurture finance-savvy entrepreneurs by combining academic depth with hands-on experience. He is also a renowned corporate trainer specializing in storytelling as a pedagogical tool.
Dr. Sinha has more than two decades of combined experience in the areas of teaching, equity research, and investment banking. His foray into academics started with a rewarding tenure at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, where he was recognized as the Best Academic Associate (2011–2012) for his engaging tutorials. He has designed and introduced forward-looking courses such as Entrepreneurial Finance and Strategic Working Capital Management targeted at practitioners and has mentored students and founders alike. He has a strong foundation in teaching, having practiced the art of narrative inquiry for more than a decade, which makes him a popular teacher and a versatile corporate trainer. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Sinha built a robust career in the financial services industry, working in both buy-side and sell-side equity research and investment banking roles with reputed firms operating globally. His consulting portfolio spans engagements with start-ups and MSMEs in areas such as business planning, financial modelling, go-to-market strategy, and risk management. He has successfully led consulting assignments with organizations such as T-Works Hyderabad, Archana Hospital, and multiple early-stage ventures, offering both strategic insight and operational guidance.
