Dr. Das joins IMSE after nearly a decade in the School of Arts and Humanities at Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, where she contributed extensively to teaching, research, editorial work, and curriculum development.
She holds a Ph.D. in Epistemology of Language and Communication from the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) and Manipal University. Her scholarly and teaching expertise spans philosophy of language, epistemology, ethics, and transformative pedagogy, with a strong focus on equity, emotion, and education.
She has served as Editor of Tattva – Journal of Philosophy and coordinated Christ University’s Centre for Publications, providing leadership in academic publishing and research communication.
Dr Rolla’s current teaching and research interests include Equity and Ethics in Education, Philosophy of Education, Philosophy of Language, Emotions, and Transformative Pedagogy. Her work will focus on connecting philosophy of language to research agendas in education, particularly studying the intersection of language, emotions and education.
At IMSE, Dr. Das will advance her research on the intersection of language, emotion, and education, and contribute to shaping conversations around philosophy, ethics, and equity in learning spaces.
