V. Gopalan

Dr. V. Gopalan is a visiting faculty at the Centre for Executive Education, Mahindra University. He is a highly accomplished professional with an outstanding educational background and an extensive work experience in various countries.

He holds a PhD in ‘Mergers and Acquisitions’ from the University of Madras. Additionally, he is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (FCA), an Associate member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India (ACMA) and also an Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS).

Throughout his career, Dr. Gopalan has held significant positions in diverse organizations such as ICICI Ltd (a renowned All India Financial Institution) and CFO at Cognizant Technology. He is currently the Promoter Director of Janhar Management Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., where he provides, to name a few, expert consultancy in areas such as Project & Venture Capital Funding, Capital Structuring, Regulatory Compliance, Due Diligence, Valuation and M&A advisory.

In his impressive boardroom experience, he served as a Nominee Director representing All India Financial Institutions from 1980 to 1997 during his tenure with ICICI Ltd. Since 1997, he has been an Independent Director on the boards of several listed companies, actively participating in committees such as Audit, CSR, Nomination and Remuneration and Stakeholder Relationship.

Dr. Gopalan’s expertise extends beyond his corporate roles, as he also serves as an Adjunct/Visiting Faculty for esteemed institutions like Indian School of Business (ISB), IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode, IIT Madras, IFMR, Great Lakes and others.

As a highly experienced management consultant, he leads a team that provides top-notch professional consultancy in various domains, including Financial Analysis, Capital Structuring and Business Process Reengineering (BPR). His contributions have helped numerous companies establish world-class Management Information Systems (MIS), internal controls and cost control techniques.

Dr. Gopalan’s extensive experience spans across India, USA, UAE, Australia, Singapore, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Canada and more.
